Hi Elizabeth, I recently came across your Feng Shui web site and as I know you are busy, but could you please still give me a quick Bedroom Feng Shui bed placement answer.
I live in a one bedroom apartment and I would like to know which of these two bed placement opinions is best.
My queen size bed can go either under the bedroom window, directly facing the bedroom door or against the solid bedroom wall but facing the bathroom ensuite bathroom door, which is kept closed at all times, other than when to enter and leave it of coarse , toilet lid down and a deep red floor mat.
The position against the wall facing the bathroom / toilet door, I sleep well but encounter a lot of bad luck. Sleeping under the window, facing the bedroom door, I do not sleep so well, even with the window closed and drapes closed.
I know this is a simplistic question, as there are many factors that enhance one’s Feng Shui but I am not sure how best to enhance bed placement.
Thank-you for your time

Answer
Dear Shawn,
From a Form school perspective sleeping against a solid wall is best as it provides you with support and protection whereas sleeping under a window may drain your energy. That being said both of these situations are not ideal as your feet should not be facing out any door. As you mention the best remedy is to ensure the door is closed at all times so you are pretty much doing everything you can from the information you have available. It may well be that the unseen energy that you are sleeping in is not supporting you however without a flying star analsysis I can’t comment. Ensure there is no red in your bedroom as this may be activating challenging energy. What sector of the house is the bedroom located in?
Cheers
