Hi
We are planning to renovate our house to make it two storey house. Can you please tell me, in a stairway about how many steps are good feng shui.
Thanks.
Dear Liz
When using Feng Shui do I use kua number of individuals or Pa Kua compass directions to enhance good fortunes due each prson having auspicious directions.
Thank you

Dear Elizabeth,
I am renting a home, and I really love one that has a door facing West. I am a East person, so my good directions are N, S, E and SE. This house has a door facing West, but the house, all the balconies and windows are facing East.So the energy entering the house
--- is the energy from West, that comes through the entrance door (only a small door facing West) ??
--- or is the energy from East, that comes in through 3 big doors that open to the balcony ??
My partner and I were married in Hawaii on the beach and all of our wedding pictures have the ocean in the background. We thought it would be good feng shui to put our wedding pictures of us together in our bedroom, but we have read never to put water or pictures with water in the bedroom as it could lead to loss and cool the fire element of the relationship. We were wondering, however, if this applied to wedding pictures?
Question
Hi Liz
I have two pressing issues
1. I have a fireplace in northwest sector of house. is there a remedy?
2. The only place for our pool is in the south west sector of backyard. Is this O.K?
Hoping you can help.

Hi Angela,
I am looking to buy a property in Petersham (Marrickville Council). It is an old terrace, but it is not heritage listed. It has been renovated substantially (all new floor joists, floorboards, ceilings, bathroom, replaced windows and the back wall opened to be French doors). They claim however that no structural work was done and therefore they did not go through any council DA or other process. Should I be worried about purchasing the property? Is this is a big gamble and is there anything I can do to mitigate this gamble?
Thanks very much, sorry the question is a bit open-ended!!!

Hi there,
Our neighbor has euculyptus leaves that constantly fall into the bottom of the deep end of our pool leaving horrible brown stains. Acid washing will remove the stains but it’s ridiculous and too expensive to have to do that every summer. Is there any way to get the stains out without having to empty and acid wash?
It was also reading about robotic pool vacuums and was wondering what would be the best one to remove the large leaves? The Pool Cleaner pressure vacuum is one that was recommended to me but I can’t seem to find it here in California.
Thanks,
Joyce Robinson
We just moved into a new home, in Las Vegas. The pool is green with algae, and needs to be drained and acid washed. We are receiving differing opinions on whether or not a concrete / plaster pool should be drained and acid washed this time of year due to the heat and intense sunshine. It is over 100 degrees today.
Our plan is to drain it overnight, and have a pool service acid wash it beginning at 5 a.m.,,,,then fill it. The pool would be empty most of the day as the filling process will take a while.
Any problem (ie. possibility of plaster cracking) with acid washing it now ?
If yes, then what should we do with the pool ? Is it the acid washing that renders the plaster vulnerable to the effects of the sun, or will sunlight alone (even without the acid wash) damage the plaster in such a short time span ?
Thanks.
Ron.
Hi,
I was hoping you could tell me how long I need to filter my spa for. If it is not in use for a period of time does it still need to be filtered.
Is there are miniman daily filtering time?
Thanks

Hello Manfred,
We are looking at purchasing a home that has an inground concrete pool.
We would like this pool become filled in to increase the yard space for
the kids to play in.
I did see a comment of placing water tanks within the pool and maybe
filling the rest with soil and aggregate....I would assume the base
would have to be broken to stop further water retention and the concrete
pool surround to be jack hammered below the natural surface.
What recommendations/ or what I should be aware of in converting the
pool back to a grass patch?....
Any other suggestions or comments would be much appreciated.
Brad
